I have been getting Google alerts for the past year whenever the word Mindset appears in a published article or online news release. I admit I have been amazed at the consistent use of the word and in the broad applications. Everything from sports (golf, basketball, baseball, football, swimming, soccer, etc) to politics (local, state, national and International) to economics (investing, spending, stock market)  to education to health to … you get the idea.

Where does Mindset come from? How does it impact so much of life? How can it be changed? Over the next few weeks let’s explore these and other questions.

A mind game I play is creating acronyms for words. Here is my current acronym for Mindset:

M = Made Up
I   = Individual
N = New
D = Different
S  = Shift
E = Evolve
T = Truth

Our personal Mindset is Made Up from our Individual experiences and by accepting information. To have a New Mindset, you have to be willing to think and explore Different perceptions which creates a Shift in your Mindset and allows you to Evolve to a new level of Truth for yourself.
