Your Beliefs Create Your Mindset
Keep getting the same question about what influences or impacts my mindset about things?
The truth is You Create Your Mindset – all by yourself.
Well, on second thought if you include influences from others in the equation you do get some help from others. Yet, you decide about what you feel is real and then store it in your subconscious mind so it can help create your mindset.
Working with Robin during our 24 years together I have learned a lot about how your beliefs impact everything you do and in many cases – how you actually do things like get angry, jealous, depressed, excited, happy or energized about life. It has helped me to understand about old scripts running in your subconscious mind can derail a person’s personal or professional life.
It is important to realize everyone has beliefs housed in the subconscious mind. Then the mind uses the Law of Self-Fulfilling Activities to execute your beliefs during the course of a day, week, month or year. The catch is in the quality of the belief. Are you beliefs helping you reach your full potential in life or are they blocking your pathway?
If you cannot get with a professional Mindset Coach like Robin to help you gain insight into your current belief structures, then you need to learn how to recognize how your beliefs are impacting you on a daily basis. The reality is it is hard to catch yourself using beliefs since you are emotionally attached to Your Beliefs.
Yet, if you want to figure out how a belief or series of beliefs are impacting you, then get a recorder (or use the record function on your smart phone) and begin talking about your personal philosophies and what you feel is important. Even go into areas of what you believe are absolutes – beliefs that everyone should be following. Then, think and discuss what you feel are no-no’s in your life. What can’t be done by you – no matter how hard you try.
After doing this little exercise for a couple of hours (yes, I said hours if you want to uncover all the internal structure you have in place.) and begin to listen to your ideas about life. The key is to listen with an objective mind – think like you are an outsider who is completely detached from the taped philosophies. Using this detached point of view you will be able to “hear your beliefs” being stated and how they are used in your life.
Remember this little nugget of Gold…
You control your mindset by what beliefs you hold in your subconscious mind. This beliefs then have a direct effect upon your personal and professional mindset.
Take good care of your thoughts and your mindset will take care of you.
