Rearview Mirror Mindset

The end of the year!  It seems to occur so quickly now. This is a great time to look back and reflect on and learn from the past.
Look back one week, one month, one quarter, six months, and for the full year.
Reflect on and write out as much as you want per question:
What stands out?
What excited you?
What surprised you?
What are you proud of?
What disappointed you?
What are you grateful for?
What do you wish you had experienced?
What do you wish you had not experienced?

Now, looking at each answer group:
What can you learn from each answer?
(If you don’t know, then ask yourself: If I did know what the lesson was, what would it be?)

How can you apply the learning next year?

What can you stop doing next year?
What can you start doing next year?
What can you continue to do next year?
What can you do different next year?

What would you love to experience next year?

By taking the time and truthfully reflecting on the past year and then considering what the lessons or learning was from your experiences, you can then have a clear purpose in creating what you want to experience in the next year.
