Happy Thanksgiving – to those in the United States… And for everyone reading, let’s consider maintaining the mindset of Thanksgiving throughout the year!
At least once a year (and preferably minimally weekly) – sit down and reflect on all that you are grateful for. And remember the comforts that are often taken for granted – a roof, a bed, access to safe food and water, electricity, internet access, and more. Often we think only from our comfort zone and tend to focus on the ‘big’ items and forget to be grateful for all that we have, experience and are.
For those who have recently experienced the devastating Hurricane Sandy, we wish you a safe recovery and acceptance of how life may never be the same yet you are still blessed even in this experience.

It’s time to do something different. But what?
According to the 2012 released IBM survey, Leading Through Connections – Insights from the Global Chief Executives, the expanding connectivity of all aspects of business is changing how people engage – with each other, with customers, with suppliers and with their job functions. Is your mindset ready for the new and ongoing change?
24 hours a day… 365 days a year. That’s the time we have to accomplish everything we want and need in a year. That is the status quo of time. What would you do with an extra 24 hours?
Have you ever said you wish you had more time? Of course, we all have. With Leap Day, you have been given 24 hours that you did not have last year and will not have next year. Wow, what are you going to do with your 24 hours?
Did you set some 2012 goals? Have you made progress in the last 30 days on your goals? Yes – excellent keep it up. No – time to look at your mindset – is it supporting or limiting?
The end of the year! It seems to occur so quickly now. This is a great time to look back and reflect on and learn from the past.
Does training get the expected results? How long does it last? Why is it that companies repeat the same kind of training year after year? Is it a belief that repetition will create awareness and then people will change their behaviors? And how is that working for everyone?
It so easy to continue to do ‘business as usual’ regardless of what is changing around us. Yet, haven’t you found that how you did something 10 years ago or even a few years ago is not working as well today? Are you adapting to the changes or expecting everything to return to ‘normal’?
